AN 11-year-old girl has defied a man's attempts to lure her into his station wagon west of Brisbane.
Police are appealing for public information to assist with their investigation into the incident, which happened at Sinclair Drive, Carole Park, at 4.45pm (AEST) yesterday.
Police say the man stopped and got out to speak to the girl, then ordered her into the car.
"The girl has refused and has called out for assistance," a police spokeswoman said.
"The man has then gotten back into the car and drove away in a southerly direction on Sinclair Drive."
The vehicle is described as being an older-style, possibly light blue station wagon.
The offender is described as being a man in his 40s, 180cm to 185cm tall, bald, with brown eyes and pimples on his forehead.
He was wearing blue denim jeans, a button-up blue short-sleeved shirt with red or blue collar and yellow label on the pocket.
