For people in the BRISBANE CITY, GOLD COAST CITY, LOCKYER VALLEY, LOGAN CITY, MORETON BAY, IPSWICH CITY, SCENIC RIM, SOMERSET, TOOWOOMBA, REDLAND CITY, North Stradbroke Island and parts of the DALBY, SOUTHERN DOWNS and SOUTH BURNETT Council Areas. Issued at 9:01 am Sunday, 30 March 2014. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Brisbane CBD, Ipswich, Coolangatta, Warwick, Boonah, Beaudesert, Beenleigh, Logan City, Laidley, Gatton, Toowoomba, Cleveland, Strathpine, Esk, Redcliffe, Dalby, Caboolture and Kilcoy. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should: * Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters. * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees. * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm. * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines. * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
