For people in parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast Forecast Districts. Issued at 1:13 pm Wednesday, 27 August 2014. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Maroochydore, Gympie, Kingaroy, Noosa, Caboolture, Caloundra, Wondai, Murgon and Yarraman. Further south over the eastern Darling Downs and western Southeast Coast district, slow moving storms may produce large amounts of small hail, which may lead drainage problems and dangerous road conditions. Locations which may be affected include Toowoomba, Clifton and Warwick. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should: * Move your car under cover. * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees. * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm. * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines. * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
