SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND
for LARGE HAILSTONES

For people in parts of the
SOMERSET Council Area.

Issued at 4:32 pm Friday, 21 May 2010.

Thunderstorms have been detected on radar to the west of Toogooloowah and are moving towards the east.
They are forecast to effect the area west of Kilcoy by 5:35 pm.

Large hailstones are likely.


Emergency Management Queensland advises that people should:

* Move your car under cover.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.

The next warning is due to be issued by 5:35 pm.
